MCD Civic Centre

The Delhi Municipal administration headquarters is a 28-story tower rising 102 meters with five separate blocks forming the complete complex. The structure spans 116,000 square meters and houses extensive office spaces for administrative functions and public service operations.

Construction of this administrative complex began in 2006 and finished in 2012, replacing the long-standing municipal office that had operated from Delhi Town Hall in Chandni Chowk. The relocation marked a turning point in the city administration's modernization journey.

The complex represents the city administration's shift from traditional to contemporary governance practices. Its layout with multiple separate blocks reflects how different municipal departments organize their daily work.

The building features three basement levels for parking, eight escalators, and 43 elevators to move people efficiently through the structure. These facilities help manage the large number of visitors accessing different departments simultaneously.

The building maintains complete power backup systems to ensure uninterrupted operations at all times. This feature is particularly important for an administrative facility that delivers critical public services around the clock.
