MCD Civic Centre, Municipal headquarters in New Delhi, India
The 28-floor Municipal Corporation of Delhi Civic Centre stands 102 meters tall, making it the highest building in New Delhi.
The construction of this administrative complex started in 2006 and reached completion in 2012, following a period of fifteen years including planning.
The relocation from Delhi Town Hall in Chandni Chowk to this new building marked a shift from traditional to modern municipal administration.
The structure includes three basement levels for 2,500 vehicles, eight escalators, and 43 elevators to manage the flow of employees and visitors.
The building contains five separate multi-story blocks covering 116,000 square meters and maintains operations through complete power backup systems.
