Moonniyur Grama Panchayat is a local government unit administering an area in Malappuram district, Kerala. It manages services across several villages, including education facilities, healthcare centers, and community infrastructure projects.

Chelari's weekly market has lasted for decades, and its cattle market was once known as far as other states. Alinchuvadu hosts the Moonniyur panchayat high school, a nursing home and the government upper primary school, alongside the Shah Group arts, sports and charitable society (Reg. 444/2008) with its expatriate friends, youth wing and women's wing.
