Namak Haram Deorhi

Namak Haram Deorhi is the surviving gateway of Jafarganj Palace, a red brick passage displaying Persian and Mughal architectural traits. The structure features intricate arches and stonework that reflect the building methods of that era.

The gate belonged to the residence of Mir Jafar, whose agreement with the British East India Company determined control over Bengal. This moment marked a turning point in regional power and set in motion a new era.
