Nashipur Rajbari

Nashipur Rajbari is a palace in Murshidabad featuring colonial architectural elements such as tall columns, grand staircases, and a hall for ceremonies and gatherings. The structure blends European design with local building traditions, reflecting the region's transition during the 1800s.

Raja Kirti Chandra Singha Bahadur built this palace in 1865 beside an earlier structure constructed by Raja Debi Singha, a tax collector for the British East India Company. The construction reflects how the family maintained power across generations while working alongside British administrators.

The palace serves as a center for family worship, where visitors can observe traditional ceremonies and the annual Jhulan Yatra celebration. This festival draws local people together and shows how the place remains rooted in community life today.
