Vidyalankar Institute of Technology
Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is an engineering college in Wadala, Mumbai, with modern buildings set across a campus that includes open spaces alongside the academic facilities. The college offers programs across several engineering disciplines, supported by laboratories and a library with digital resources.
The college was founded in 1999 by the Vidyalankar Dnyanapeeth Trust and received recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education. It has been affiliated with the University of Mumbai since its founding, which gave it formal standing as a technical institution in the city.
Students from many parts of India come together on campus, bringing different languages and backgrounds with them. Tech competitions and annual events give them a chance to work side by side and build connections outside of regular classes.
The campus is in Wadala, which is well connected to other parts of Mumbai by local train and bus routes. Once inside, the layout is straightforward and facilities are close to each other, so getting around on foot is easy.
Every morning, the college plays the national anthem and national song through a dedicated Wi-Fi application, a practice that sets the daily rhythm for students across the campus. This kind of structured daily ritual is not common in engineering colleges and gives the institution a distinct character.
