Shaheed Sthal metro station, Metro station in Ghaziabad, India
Shaheed Sthal is the terminus station of the Red Line, located on an elevated viaduct in Ghaziabad. The station has two platforms with parallel tracks and handles regular passenger traffic between the city and surrounding areas.
The station opened on March 8, 2019, as part of a project to extend the Red Line metro service into Ghaziabad district. This expansion brought rapid transit access to communities in neighboring states for the first time.
This terminal station reflects the integration of modern transportation infrastructure within the developing regions of Uttar Pradesh.
The station is accessible through two entry gates operating from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. Buses connecting to nearby routes and roads are available from the station area for onward travel.
The station carries the code NBAA and serves as the reversal point where trains change direction to begin their return journey. This turning mechanism on dedicated tracks handles the flow of trains in both directions.
