Dighi Port, Maritime port in Maharashtra, India
Dighi Port is a deep-sea facility on the eastern coast of the Arabian Sea, located about 40 miles south of Mumbai. The facility has multiple deep-water berths and handles various cargo including minerals, timber, steel, and liquid products.
The port project began in 2014 to expand the maritime capacity in the Raigad region. Following changes in management, it became part of a larger industrial development initiative for the area.
The port development integrates with the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, transforming the Raigad district into a major industrial and maritime center.
This is an active working port facility with restricted access for safety reasons. Visitors interested in the operations should contact the administration directly or view from designated observation points.
The facility includes specialized storage tanks for petroleum products and chemicals, managed through dedicated pipeline systems that allow liquid cargo to move directly from ship to storage. This infrastructure enables efficient handling of industrial chemicals without intermediate transfers.
