Parco naturale del Gran Bosco di Salbertrand, Regional park in Metropolitan City of Turin, Italy

The Gran Bosco di Salbertrand extends over 3,775 hectares from 1,000 to 2,600 meters in elevation on the right side of Susa Valley.

The forest supplied wood for major construction projects of the House of Savoy, including Turin Arsenal, Superga Basilica, and Royal Palace of Venaria Reale.

The Upper Susa Valley maintains strong connections to Dauphiné traditions and the Escartons, which gained autonomy through the Great Charter of 1343.

Sixteen marked trails totaling 70 kilometers traverse the park territory, with access points from the valley floor to the ridge in both east-west directions.

The park contains the first stable wolf pack established in the Cottian Alps in 1997, contributing to the natural balance of the local ecosystem.
