Forte Pramand

The fort, constructed in 1905 as part of the Western Alpine Wall defense system, served as a military stronghold during World War I against potential French invasions.

The structure represents early 20th-century Italian military engineering, displaying advanced construction techniques adapted for mountain warfare in the Alps.

Visitors can access the fort through Military Road 79, which connects to multiple defensive structures across 20 kilometers of mountain terrain.

The 876-meter-long Pramand Tunnel, carved under Mount Seguret between world wars, connects different sections of the fortification system.
