Sashiogi Station, Railway station in Nishi-ku, Saitama, Japan
Sashiogi Station is an elevated railway facility with two platforms serving the Kawagoe Line and Saikyo Line operated by East Japan Railway Company. The station connects northern Saitama to major transfer hubs across the region.
The station began operations in 1940 during Japan's expansion of rail networks in the Saitama region. This opening was part of a broader effort to improve connections between growing suburbs and major urban centers.
The station functions as a central point for students attending nearby educational institutions, including Shumei Eiko High School and Saitama Prefectural Omiya Musashino High School.
The station features an air-conditioned waiting room on Platform 2 and benches for passengers to rest before boarding. Trains run at regular intervals throughout the day, and the elevated design makes the station easy to locate and navigate.
Platform 1 contains five seats while Platform 2 provides an air-conditioned waiting room, with additional outdoor benches placed near the station entrance.
