Bubaigawara Station, Interchange railway station in Fuchū, Japan.
Bubaigawara Station is an interchange facility in Fuchū, Japan, where two separate railway operators meet through four side platforms. The layout separates ground-level tracks running east to west from elevated tracks crossing north to south.
The facility opened on March 24, 1925, under the name Yashikibun Station. It received its current name in December 1928.
The station serves as a central transportation point for residents of Fuchū city, connecting local neighborhoods to the broader Tokyo metropolitan region.
The station maintains separate ticket facilities for JR East and Keio services, each with its own entrance and access area. Travelers should follow signs carefully when moving between the two platform sections.
The tracks run at different levels and directions, with Keio lines elevated above while JR tracks remain at ground level perpendicular to them. This arrangement requires passengers changing between the two systems to navigate stairs and passages connecting the separate sections.
