Totsuka Station, Railway station in Totsukachō, Yokohama, Japan
Totsuka Station is a railway station in Totsukachō, Yokohama, Japan, with three island platforms serving four tracks. Additional freight tracks run along the western side of the complex.
The station opened in July 1887 and connected the Tōkaidō Main Line with the Yokosuka Line. The two routes separated in 1980 and have since operated independently.
The name comes from the historic district of Totsuka and marks a station used daily by commuters from across the region. Travelers use the facility as a transfer hub between different lines.
The station sits about 25 miles (41 kilometers) from Tokyo and offers connections between JR East and the Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line. Transfer paths between platforms are covered and signposted.
Freight tracks run along the western edge and recall the station's earlier role in regional goods transport. Today trains only pass through occasionally.
