Kanagawa-ku

Kanagawa-ku is an eastern ward of Yokohama encompassing ten distinct neighborhoods such as Tsuruyachō, Hashimotochō, and Higashi-Kanagawa spread across roughly 24 square kilometers. During the Edo period, this area served as Kanagawa-juku, an important post station along the Tōkaidō route connecting Edo with Kyoto, fostering significant commercial development.
