Nishisonogi district

Nishisonogi district encompasses two principal towns, Nagayo and Togitsu, covering an area of 49.54 square kilometers along the coast of Nagasaki Prefecture.

The district established on October 28, 1878, underwent multiple territorial changes, including the merger of six towns into Nagasaki City in January 2005.

The district maintains traditional Japanese administrative structures while integrating modern governance systems through local elected officials and community organizations.

With a population density of 1,460 persons per square kilometer, the district provides residential spaces and public services to over 72,000 inhabitants.
