Aramaki Rose Park

Aramaki Rose Park is a rose garden and Italian Renaissance-style park in Itami featuring thousands of rose varieties arranged along wide pathways. The plantings occupy the landscaped terrain across the entire grounds.

The park opened in 1992 and incorporated design elements from Italian Renaissance gardens while showcasing both international and local rose varieties. This blend of Western garden traditions with Japanese cultivation created a distinctive horticultural space.

The garden features a section dedicated to the Amatsuotome rose, a variety created locally and named after an opera performer. This reflects how the place celebrates regional plant breeding traditions and local identity.

The grounds include a Hasselt garden section named after Itami's Belgian sister city, featuring specific European rose varieties. This dedicated area celebrates the international sister-city relationship through horticultural exchange.
