Sokuluk District, Administrative district in Chuy Region, Kyrgyzstan
Sokuluk District is an administrative division in Chuy Region covering a wide area of northern Kyrgyzstan with one town and numerous settlements. The district is organized through rural communities that serve as administrative centers for the villages within them.
The district was established in 1935 during the Soviet period and has maintained its administrative role through subsequent regional reorganizations. Over the decades, it developed into a significant administrative area in this part of the country.
The district population grew from 104,508 residents in 1970 to 194,579 in 2021, representing multiple ethnic communities within the Chuy Region.
