Chau Say Tevoda, Hindu temple in Angkor Archaeological Park, Siem Reap, Cambodia
The temple features a central sanctuary surrounded by courtyards with four towers positioned at cardinal points, connected by an entrance hall.
King Suryavarman II commissioned the construction of Chau Say Tevoda in the early 12th century during the flourishing period of Khmer architecture.
The sandstone walls display intricate carvings depicting Hindu deities and mythological narratives, including scenes from the Ramayana epic.
Located 500 meters from the eastern gate of Angkor Thom, the temple requires an Angkor Archaeological Park pass for entrance.
Chinese restoration teams reassembled 4,000 scattered stone elements between 2000 and 2009, returning the temple to its original configuration.
