Seocho District, Urban district with judicial institutions in Seoul, South Korea

Seocho District spans 47 square kilometers in southern Seoul, featuring a mix of modern high-rise buildings and residential neighborhoods near the Han River.

The district emerged from Gangnam District in 1988, developing into an administrative region that houses South Korea's Supreme Court and Seoul Central District Court.

The Seoul Arts Center and National Gugak Center within Seocho District present traditional Korean performances, contemporary art exhibitions, and musical concerts throughout the year.

The district connects to central Seoul through multiple subway lines, including Lines 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9, plus the Shinbundang Line for efficient transportation.

Seorae Village in Seocho District contains a French community centered around the French Embassy School, bringing European influences to this Korean neighborhood.
