Anyang

Anyang is a large industrial city in Gyeonggi Province, located south of Seoul, spreading across terrain shaped by mountains that frame residential neighborhoods and commercial zones. The landscape combines urban development with natural features, creating a mixed environment of built and natural areas.

The city takes its name from a Buddhist temple founded during the reign of King Taejo in the early Korean period, which initiated settlement in the region. This religious foundation shaped the area's development through the centuries that followed.

The Anyang Art Park grew from a former entertainment venue into an outdoor gallery where contemporary sculptures blend naturally with walking trails and green spaces that visitors explore today.

The city connects easily to Seoul through two subway lines, making it simple for visitors to arrive and explore the area. Movement around the city itself is straightforward thanks to reliable public transportation throughout the neighborhoods and districts.

The Anyang Stadium hosts three professional sports teams competing in national leagues, including an ice hockey team, a basketball team, and a football club. This sporting venue serves as a gathering place for local fans and brings considerable energy to the community.
