Muan County

Muan County is an administrative region on the western edge of the Korean peninsula, positioned along the Yellow Sea. The area includes extensive coastline and houses the international airport that now serves as the provincial hub.

The region underwent major changes in 2005 when provincial administrative offices moved to Namak village. This shift transformed the area into the new center of regional governance and decision-making.

The Hoesan White Lotus Pond becomes a gathering place each August when its flowers bloom, drawing locals and visitors to witness the seasonal display. This annual event shapes how residents connect with their natural surroundings and mark the passage of time.

The international airport provides connections to major destinations and is accessible by several routes. Visitors should explore the coastal areas, where parking and pathways to the water are available.
