Nakhwaam Rock, Cultural heritage rock formation in Buyeo-gun, South Korea.
Located on the banks of Baengmagang River at the northern end of Busosan Mountain, Nakhwaam Rock rises as a natural cliff formation overlooking the water.
During the invasion of Sabiseong Fortress by the Shilla-Tang Alliance, royal court women of the Baekje Kingdom chose to jump from this cliff rather than face capture.
The name Nakhwaam translates to 'the cliff of falling flowers', representing the dedication of Baekje women who sacrificed themselves for their kingdom's honor.
The site lacks parking facilities and restrooms, requiring visitors to plan their trips carefully and make arrangements for basic necessities before arrival.
Each spring, cherry blossom petals float down from nearby trees around the rock formation, creating a natural tribute to the historical events that occurred here.
