Jeongnimsa

Jeongnimsa is a Buddhist temple site containing ruins from the Baekje Kingdom period. The location features a five-story stone pagoda, foundation walls, and scattered remains of religious structures.

The site was founded around 625 AD as a major religious center for the Baekje Kingdom. It remained active until the kingdom fell to invaders in 660 AD, after which it was abandoned.

The temple grounds show how Buddhist practitioners worshipped and lived in this region during ancient times. The layout reveals how religious spaces were organized and used in daily spiritual life.

The site is easy to walk around and open for self-exploration of the ruins and pagoda from different angles. Visitors should allow time to wander through the grounds and examine the stone structures up close.
