Taerim Misulgwan, Art museum in Jung-gu district, South Korea
Taerim Misulgwan is an art museum located in Jung-gu, Seoul, housed in a renovated building with three exhibition floors. The spaces are designed to display both contemporary and classical Korean artworks in dedicated galleries.
The museum was founded in 1996 and opened to the public in 2002 after renovation. It took over the role of a previous exhibition venue and now operates from a repurposed building.
The museum showcases contemporary Korean artists and gives them a space to share their work with the public. You can encounter both traditional pieces and modern creations as you move through the galleries.
The museum is easy to reach near City Hall Station exits 1 and 2. Tours are offered in both English and Korean to help you understand the exhibitions better.
An outdoor sculpture park is part of the site where seasonal events happen throughout the year. This garden space offers a refreshing contrast to the indoor exhibition galleries.
