Hasan Abdal

Hasan Abdal is a city in Attock District situated at the crossroads of the Karakoram Highway and M1 Motorway. The settlement sits at 308 meters elevation and functions as a transport hub connecting different parts of the region.

The city became prominent during the Mughal Empire when it served as a military departure point for expeditions. Structures like Hakimon ka Maqbara from the 16th century mark this historical period.

Gurdwara Panja Sahib draws pilgrims from across the region who come to see a rock believed to bear Guru Nanak's handprint. This shrine remains an important place of worship and spiritual significance for Sikh communities.

Cadet College Hasan Abdal, founded in 1954, was Pakistan's first military preparatory institution. This school set a pattern that influenced how the country would train future military officers.
