Sheikhupura extends across 75 square kilometers of land, situated 38 kilometers northwest of Lahore, with a population reaching 591,424 residents in 2023.
Emperor Jahangir established this settlement in 1607, initially naming it Jehangirpura before its transformation to Sheikhupura, derived from his personal name Shekhu.
