Churma Island, Small island in Arabian Sea near Karachi, Pakistan.

Churna Island is a rocky landmass in the Arabian Sea off the Karachi coast, notable for its lack of sandy beaches and natural stone formations. The island offers a raw, unspoiled setting shaped entirely by the sea and weather.

The Pakistan Navy established a firing range here and conducted numerous military training exercises over the decades. This military use became a defining chapter in the island's past.

The fishing community of Mubarak Goth has shaped daily life around these waters through generations of maritime work. Fishermen here continue practices passed down through families, and their presence remains central to the area's coastal identity.

Visitors reach the island by boat from Mubarak Village, with the most favorable conditions between November and April. Sea conditions during these months remain calmer, making crossings more reliable and comfortable.

In 2017, a blue whale mother and calf were spotted in these waters—a rare occurrence in Pakistani seas. This encounter with these massive marine mammals surprised researchers and remains remarkable for wildlife observers.
