Przełęcz Goprowska, Mountain pass in Bieszczady Mountains, Poland.
Przełęcz Goprowska is a mountain pass in the Western Bieszczady range situated at 1161 meters elevation between the peaks of Krzemień and Tarniczka. The saddle connects marked hiking trails that lead hikers through the high ridges toward various valleys and destinations across the mountain range.
The pass formed naturally through erosion and weathering as a route between neighboring peaks over geological time. A mountain rescue station once operated near the water source at the saddle but closed in 2010 due to reduced funding and fewer emergency callouts.
The Main Beskid Trail, named after Kazimierz Sosnowski, crosses through Przełęcz Goprowska connecting major hiking destinations in the Bieszczady region.
The pass is reachable year-round but demands careful footing and sturdy boots during snow and icy conditions. Bring plenty of water and a map or guidebook since the route can be hard to follow in fog or poor weather without clear landmarks.
A simple shelter with tables and benches sits just above the saddle nestled among low trees, offering a quiet place for hikers to rest and look out across the ridge. Many walkers stop here to catch their breath during long day hikes through the mountains.
