Riyadh Province

The Riyadh Province spans 404,240 square kilometers of territory and contains twenty administrative districts across the central region of Saudi Arabia.

The province gained heightened administrative significance in 1992 when Saudi Arabia restructured its territorial divisions from seven to thirteen provinces through royal decree.

The province functions as the governmental nucleus of Saudi Arabia, housing national institutions, diplomatic missions, and administrative centers within its boundaries.

The territory maintains connections through an extensive network of highways, railways, and an international airport that links its districts to national destinations.

The province registers temperature variations from 43°C during summer months to near-freezing levels in winter, with minimal annual precipitation.
