Hovet, Indoor arena in Johanneshov district, Stockholm, Sweden
Hovet is an indoor arena in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm, Sweden, designed for ice hockey and concerts. The main space holds about eight thousand people and hosts both sports matches and musical performances throughout the year.
The facility opened in 1955 under the name Johanneshovs Isstadion and served from the beginning as a site for ice hockey and public events. A new roof structure designed by Paul Hedqvist was added in 1963, changing the outward appearance of the building.
The Beatles performed four concerts at the venue in 1964, presenting their songs to Swedish audiences during their international tour.
The Stockholm Live app helps visitors manage their tickets digitally and stay informed about upcoming events at the arena. The venue is located in the southern part of the city and is easy to reach by public transport.
Two well-known ice hockey teams, AIK Hockey and Djurgården Hockey, play their home matches at this arena. This arrangement makes the place a central stage for local sports rivalries.
