Rudaki District, Administrative district in Tajikistan.
Rudaki District is an administrative area located south of Dushanbe in Tajikistan. It consists of rural settlements and smaller towns spread across a landscape that transitions between flat and rolling terrain.
The area was part of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic before Tajikistan gained independence in 1991. Its administrative boundaries evolved from Soviet-era divisions and have remained largely unchanged since then.
The district contains three towns and thirteen jamoats where residents communicate in both Russian and Tajik, reflecting the local multilingual heritage.
The district is best explored by local transportation or private vehicle, as public connections between settlements are limited. The best time to visit is during spring or autumn when weather is mild and roads are in better condition.
The district operates a specialized border guard training center for the Tajik Border Troops and received a new police station in October 2013.
