Ramit State Nature Reserve

Ramit State Nature Reserve is a protected area in northeastern Tajikistan featuring mountain forests, deep valleys, and flowing streams. The terrain rises through multiple elevation zones, each supporting different plant and animal communities adapted to steep slopes and variable climates.

The reserve was established in 1959 to protect the mountain ecosystems and wildlife of the region. This action reflected early conservation efforts in Tajikistan to preserve vulnerable natural areas from exploitation.
