Köşk Höyük, Archaeological site in Kemerhisar, Turkey.
The excavation site extends across 100 by 90 meters with six meters of strata layers, containing remains from multiple settlement periods.
The settlement spans from 6300 to 4750 BC, with the upper layer dating to the early Chalcolithic period and lower layers belonging to the Neolithic era.
The discovery of clay-covered skulls at the site represents the earliest examples of skull modification practices found in Anatolia, concurrent with findings at Çatalhöyük.
Visitors can examine artifacts and room reconstructions from the ancient settlement at the Niğde Archaeological Museum, which maintains the excavated collections.
The site revealed an ancient copper-working workshop with a furnace in the Chalcolithic layer, indicating early metallurgical activities in the region.
