The one-hectare Kuğulu Park contains a central pond inhabited by swans, ducks, and geese surrounded by benches and walking paths.
Established in 1958, the park received a special gift of swans from Vienna, which contributed to its current status as a symbol of Ankara.
The park serves as a central gathering place for residents who feed birds, read books, and participate in community activities throughout the year.
Located along Tunalı Hilmi Street, the park offers easy access through public transportation and remains open to visitors every day.
During the 2013 protests, park officials evacuated 35 waterfowl to protect them from tear gas exposure in the surrounding area.
