Cinnah 19

Cinnah 19 is a modern residential building in Ankara with five stories, raised on slender columns and oriented vertically along Cinnah Street. The structure houses seventeen units total, including duplexes with extensive north-facing windows, plus shared garden areas and relaxation zones.

The building was constructed in 1957 for the State Airport Authority and originally housed government officials. The complex later converted to civilian use, and a swimming pool was added in 1958.

The building shows how Turkish architects adopted international modernist ideas in the 1950s and adapted them for local needs. This residential complex embodies the period's optimism about new construction and urban living.

The residential building sits directly on Cinnah Street in Çankaya and is easily accessible, with the entrance oriented toward the street. Visitors and residents can use the shared areas and have access to the garden spaces around the complex.
