General Staff Building, Military headquarters in Çankaya, Turkey.
The General Staff Building features an H-shaped layout with uniform square windows and a half-cylinder formation supported by high stairs at its entrance.
Construction of the building began in 1929 on land purchased at 5 kuruş per square meter under Marshal Fevzi Çakmak's directive.
The structure, designed by architect Clemens Holzmeister, represents early Turkish Republic architecture with its neoclassical elements and modern military design principles.
The facility connects the General Staff Headquarters with the National Defense Headquarters, enabling efficient coordination between military administrative departments.
The building's facade combines flat roofs as a visual element while concealing functional sloping roofs behind its structural design.
