The location operated as a recreational area since 1980 before receiving official nature park designation from Turkish authorities in 2011.
The park serves as an educational center where visitors learn about Mediterranean ecosystems through guided nature walks and environmental programs.
The facility accommodates 180 tent campers and 30 caravans, with additional options for cottage rentals and day-use picnic facilities.
The protected beach functions as a nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles, while Mediterranean monk seals inhabit the surrounding waters.
