Sapadere Kanyonu

Sapadere Kanyonu is a limestone canyon near Alanya that stretches about 750 meters through rocky terrain. The path follows a mountain stream via wooden walkways that wind through the narrow gorge, allowing visitors to explore the depths safely.

The canyon took shape over many millennia as flowing water gradually eroded the limestone rock. This slow carving process created the deep ravine visible today.

The village near the canyon maintains traditional ways of life, and visitors can observe local crafts and agricultural products used in everyday routines. People rely on farming and shepherding in the surrounding land, which shapes how the valley looks and feels.

The walkway is easy to navigate with stairs and railings throughout, suitable for visitors of different ages and fitness levels. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the canyon stays noticeably cooler than the surrounding area above.

The water running through the canyon remains cold year-round, staying around 10 degrees Celsius. This natural coolness provides real relief on hot summer days when temperatures outside soar.
