Dim River National Park

Dim River National Park is a natural preserve along the Mediterranean coast near Alanya featuring valleys with thick forests throughout its landscape. Wooden bridges cross the water at several points, linking the forested areas and creating routes for exploration.

The area was transformed in the early 2000s by the construction of a dam that brought water and electricity to the region. This change supported the needs of the expanding population in the Alanya district.

Local people and visitors gather at riverside restaurants to taste regional Turkish food and experience the daily rhythm of the place. Seasonal produce from nearby villages creates a connection between the land and those who live off it.

The park remains open year-round, though spring and autumn offer the most comfortable temperatures for outdoor activities. Swimming, walking trails, and water activities work best during these moderate seasons.

The water stays cold even during the hottest summer months, creating a refreshing escape from Mediterranean heat. This persistent chill makes it an ideal spot for swimming when temperatures soar elsewhere in the region.
