The Presidential Complex spans 150 hectares and contains multiple buildings for government functions, including offices, meeting rooms, and ceremonial spaces within landscaped gardens.
The construction started in 2012 after a Council of Ministers decision to transform the Gazi compound, replacing the Çankaya Presidential Mansion as Turkey's presidential residence.
The Presidential Library within the complex holds four million books in multiple languages, making it the largest collection in Turkey.
The compound includes a control center that processes national security information and maintains specialized systems for detecting biological and chemical substances.
The Beştepe Millet Mosque in the complex accommodates 3,000 worshippers and features architectural elements from Seljuk and Ottoman periods.
