New Kömürhan Bridge

The New Kömürhan Bridge extends 660 meters across the Euphrates River, featuring a single pylon that rises 168.5 meters above the water.

The bridge replaced its 1986 predecessor in January 2021, marking a new chapter in the region's transportation infrastructure development over the Euphrates River.

This bridge functions as a central connection point for sixteen provinces in Eastern Anatolia, strengthening regional ties and economic relationships.

The structure incorporates 180,000 cubic meters of concrete, 6,000 tons of reinforcement steel, and 920 tons of cable strands to ensure durability.

The bridge ranks as the fourth longest single-pylon cable-stayed bridge in the world, with a main span measuring 380 meters.
