İzzet Pasha Mosque

The mosque features a main dome measuring 20 meters in diameter, supported by four columns and decorated with colorful Kütahya tiles throughout its interior.

Originally constructed in 1866 by Governor Hacı Ahmet İzzet Pasha, the building underwent complete reconstruction and reopened with modern features in 1972.

The mosque serves as a central gathering point for Islamic worship in Elazığ, accommodating up to 5,000 people during religious ceremonies and community events.

The building includes five marble entrances, religious administration offices, funeral facilities, shops, and parking spaces to serve the local population.

This religious complex stands as the first mosque in Turkey equipped with an elevator, combining traditional Ottoman architecture with modern technological solutions.
