Zuoying HSR station, Railway station in Zuoying District, Taiwan
Zuoying HSR station is a major transport hub in Zuoying District, Taiwan, linking high-speed trains, metro lines, and conventional railway services through separate platforms. The tracks are organized by train type, with dedicated areas for each mode of transport.
The facility opened on October 31, 2006, extending Taiwan's high-speed rail network to the south. This opening reduced travel time between the island's northern and southern regions considerably.
The facility takes its name from the historic Zuoying area and serves as a gateway to nearby temples and Lotus Pond. Travelers often use this hub as a starting point for visits to the surrounding traditional Chinese gardens and shrines.
It is best to reach the different platforms through signage in the main halls, as each train type has its own entrances. Connections to city buses and taxis are located at clearly marked exits near the arrival areas.
The station sits at the eastern base of Mount Panping, allowing direct access to three national highways and two provincial routes. This location makes it a key distribution point for travelers continuing to different parts of southern Taiwan.
