Zhudong Forest Park, Forest recreational area in Zhudong, Taiwan.
Zhudong Forest Park is a wooded area near Zhudong with different habitats including wetlands, grasslands, and dense forests. Marked trails run throughout the park and connect the various natural zones.
The park was opened in 2007 when the region began developing facilities for environmental protection and public recreation. This was part of a larger effort to create more green spaces in the area.
Two temples, Puchao Temple and Dayuan Temple, sit within the forest and show local religious practices and building styles. Both remain active shrines where visitors see prayer ceremonies and traditional customs practiced among the trees.
The trails are easy to follow and multiple entrances allow flexible exploration of the grounds. Depending on the route chosen and pace, visitors can take short or longer walks.
From higher spots in the park, visitors can see across the landscape and observe both neighboring townships spread below. These viewpoints help visitors understand the scale of the surrounding region.
