Kaohsiung City Lingya Sports Center, Indoor arena in Lingya District, Taiwan
The Kaohsiung City Lingya Sports Center is an indoor sports facility in Lingya with six halls, each approximately 620 square meters (6,700 sq ft) in size. The halls are divided into Eastern and Western zones to accommodate different athletic activities simultaneously.
The facility was built in 1986 as a venue for the National Games. It later gained international prominence as a key venue during the 2009 World Games.
The center serves as a venue where people gather to watch athletes compete in different sports, reflecting local passion for athletic events. It remains an active place where communities come together around shared interest in physical competition.
The facility is accessible near exit 4 of the Martial Arts Stadium metro station, making it convenient to reach by public transit. Modern facilities spread across the multiple halls can hold up to 7,000 spectators at a time.
Each of the six halls includes a dedicated audience section with seating for about 1,400 spectators, allowing multiple events to happen at the same time. This makes it possible to watch different competitions in a single visit.
