Taipei City Constituency 7, Legislative district in Xinyi and Songshan areas, Taiwan
Taipei City Constituency 7 covers parts of Xinyi and Songshan and is one of eight electoral districts in Taipei. The area uses a single-member district system where residents directly elect their representative to the Legislative Yuan.
This constituency was created in 2008 during Taiwan's electoral reforms, which cut the total Legislative Yuan seats from 225 to 113. The change was part of a broader restructuring of the election system.
Residents in this constituency participate in legislative elections every four years, selecting representatives who shape policies at both local and national levels.
Visitors can explore the various neighborhoods within Xinyi and Songshan, where different street sections and access points mark the district's geographical boundaries. Public transportation connects the different areas well throughout the region.
During the 2020 elections, the constituency recorded substantial voter participation, with Rosalia Wu securing victory through 52 percent of total votes cast.
