Rykove, Settlement in Henichesk Raion, Ukraine
Rykove stands at an elevation of 20 meters in southeastern Ukraine, positioned along a railway line connecting Melitopol with Novooleksiivka.
The settlement changed its name from Partyzany to Rykove in 2016 following Ukrainian legislation that prohibited names associated with Communist origins.
The settlement maintains multiple language variations of its name, including Рикове in Ukrainian and Рыково in Russian, reflecting the regional linguistic diversity.
Located on the M18 highway, this settlement provides a transportation connection between Kharkiv and Crimea through major cities like Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.
In January 2024, Rykove transitioned from an urban-type settlement to a rural settlement status due to new Ukrainian administrative reforms.
