Bucha Raion

Bucha Raion is an administrative district in Kyiv Oblast that encompasses multiple rural and suburban communities north and west of the capital. The area contains villages, forests, and farmland that form a transitional zone between the city and the countryside.

The raion was formed in 2020 through the consolidation of parts from several neighboring administrative districts. This restructuring was part of broader administrative reforms in the region.

Each community within Bucha Raion maintains local traditions through regular celebrations and events that connect residents to their Ukrainian heritage.

As a transition zone between Kyiv and rural areas, the region offers access to both urban and natural surroundings. Visitors will find a mix of local village communities, forest paths, and open countryside.

Following the events of 2022, communities across Bucha Raion established multiple reconstruction initiatives to restore infrastructure and public services.
