Cheboygan County, Administrative county in northern Michigan, United States.

Cheboygan County is an administrative county in northern Michigan that extends along Lake Huron's shoreline and encompasses several inland lakes including Burt Lake, Mullet Lake, and Black Lake. The county consists of nineteen townships, two villages, and the city of Cheboygan serving as its main centers.

The county seat moved from Duncan City to Inverness Township in 1860, followed by construction of the first courthouse in 1868. This relocation established a permanent administrative center for the growing region.

The county maintains nineteen townships, two villages named Mackinaw City and Wolverine, plus the city of Cheboygan as cultural centers.

Residents and visitors can access key public services throughout the county including the Sheriff's Office, Department of Natural Resources, and local police departments. These services are distributed across the various communities to serve everyday needs.

The county building, constructed in 1968 for $985,000, received an expansion of 17,300 square feet in 1980 for additional services.
