Aloha State Park, State park on Mullett Lake in Cheboygan County, Michigan, US
Aloha State Park is a 172-acre recreational area on the northeast shore of Mullett Lake in northern Michigan. It features a modern campground with both tent and RV sites, a boat basin with launch facilities, and a designated swimming area.
The site was originally part of the Detroit and Mackinac Railway corridor before the rail line ceased operations. In 1923, Cheboygan County acquired and donated the abandoned railway land to establish this state park.
The name derives from the Hawaiian word for love and peace, an unexpected choice for a recreational area in northern Michigan. The park serves today as a gathering place where boaters and fishing enthusiasts spend their days along the water.
The park offers year-round access with camping facilities available throughout the seasons and boat launch access at all times. Visitors should plan their activities based on the season, as winter weather conditions differ greatly from warmer months.
The park sits at a junction where multiple lakes and rivers connect through a water route network that extends for miles in different directions. Boaters with time can venture on longer water journeys from this central location without retracing their path.
