Jackson County, Administrative county in western North Carolina, US
The county encompasses 494 square miles of mountainous terrain, featuring the Tuckasegee River, numerous lakes, and sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Established in 1851 from portions of Haywood and Macon counties, Jackson County received its name from President Andrew Jackson.
